How to Make a Caramelized Onion Chicken Breast Sandwich
Shred the onions.
Heat a spoonful of olive oil in a pan, add the onions and sauté slowly over low heat.
While sautéing the onions, come handle the chicken breasts, I used BBQ flavor.
Cut into small pieces.
Sauté the onions for about 15 minutes, stirring often so they don’t burn. Finally, add salt and mix well. The result is caramelized onions. You can sauté them a little longer than pictured, I’m pressed for time in the morning.
Place the onions and chicken in a small bowl.
Add Thousand Island dressing and toss to coat, adjusting the amount to your liking.
Spoon onto slices of toast, you can put more on.
Cover with another slice and press on it to enjoy the slices.
2. If you have a lighter taste, you can remove the salt.
