How to make crunchy frosted walnuts
The first thing you need to do is to make the walnuts taste crispy.
Raw walnuts itself is not crispy, walnuts are rich in oil, just use a wok / microwave / oven etc. can make it crispy.
I use the oven: the walnuts into the oven at 150 degrees to toast 10 minutes, microwave about 2 minutes.
If you use a wok to fry them, you can see control, probably with fried peanuts like Forgive me if I haven’t tried it, but either way, the point is: never! Jiao! Paste! I did!
The process of toasting walnuts we come to boiling frosting: add sugar and water into a pot of simmering, first on high heat, water boiling and then adjust the heat so that the sugar and water completely integrated, the whole process takes about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally halfway through, so as not to paste the bottom!
Boil until the picture like this, the liquid goo bubbles thickly, the color is yellowish, and the water is obviously dried out almost.
Add walnuts, cooked sesame seeds, quickly stir-fry and mix well, so that each walnut is coated with sugar, turn off the heat, and call it a day.
Allow to cool and store in an airtight container. Also, I added some mashed black sesame seeds in addition to the white sesame seeds for more flavor (this step can be left out)
