Crushed Black Pepper
How to make pasta that even picky kids will love
Ingredients as pictured.
The meat is minced into small grains, the onion is chopped, and the tomatoes are chopped into small pieces. I used a blender to grind it all, so it was all very fine, nothing grainy.
Melt a small piece of butter in a hot pan. The butter can also be replaced with olive oil, but the butter is more fragrant.
Pour in the ground meat and sauté until browned, then add the onion and sauté until soft. Add a little white wine to remove the smell, or wine if you don’t have it.
Pour in the chopped tomatoes, sauté until they release their juices, add a small bowl of hot water and bring to a boil.
Add the tomato paste and cook over medium-low heat until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and sugar to taste, and sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper. Since the tomato sauce I used was on the acidic side, I added sugar.
Stir in the meat sauce as pictured.
Bring a little more water to a boil in a pan, add a few drops of oil and cook the pasta until there is no white core, then turn off the heat.
Remove the cooked pasta to a plate and pour the marinara sauce over it.
I make larger portions and the sauce will mix about 600g of pasta. Reduce according to your personal needs. If you can’t finish it, seal it up and refrigerate or freeze it.
The amount of seasoning can be appropriate according to personal taste, there is no such thing as authentic, what the family likes is the best.
