How to Make Marinated Beef with Lotus Root
Clean one section of lotus root and cut into thin slices.
Cook in a pan of cold water for about 5-7 minutes.
Remove from the heat and soak in cold plain water.
Drain the water and add salt and sesame oil.
Add the vinegar, hot sauce, chicken essence, chili powder and cumin powder.
Wearing disposable gloves, mix all the sauce ingredients well.
Then add the marinated beef, shallots, garlic and soy sauce.
Mix well and leave for half an hour to allow it to become fully flavoured.
