How to Make Pumpkin Porridge
A cut of pumpkin. A bag of glutinous rice flour.
Wash the pumpkin, peel it and cut into small pieces, throw it into the rice cooker after cutting. Add cold boiling water until the pumpkin is evenly cubed.
Press the cook button to start cooking, 45min+ or so, open the lid and take a spatula to crush the pumpkin pieces. Cover the lid and continue cooking.
Take a small eating bowl and add a big spoonful of glutinous rice powder, pour cold water over it (cool cool cool) and stir until the glutinous rice powder and water are completely combined. Pour the glutinous rice water into the pumpkin porridge and mix well with a rice spatula. Then add a big spoonful of sugar and continue to stir well.
When it’s almost done, unplug the rice cooker from the lid and let it simmer for a while.
