Prepare all ingredients.
Peel and thinly slice sweet potatoes.
Divide sweet potato slices into two equal portions.
To make the rosemary flavor: Add olive oil, sugar and rosemary to one portion and toss with your hands.
For black pepper: Add black pepper and salt to one portion and toss with your hands.
Line a parchment paper lined baking sheet with parchment paper, arrange the seasoned sweet potato slices evenly and bake in a 190 degree oven.
After 10 minutes, flip the potatoes over and continue baking.
Bake until the chips are firm and cool out of the oven, the rosemary and black pepper flavored sweet potato chips are ready (they will be extra crispy when cooled and ready to enjoy).
