How to make authentic IKEA Swedish meatballs (with reduced fat version) at home!
Oven version: take out 10-15 balls and oven at 225 degrees for 15 minutes (pictured are frozen Swedish meatballs purchased from IKEA)
Microwave version: take out about 10 balls, 700w 4-5 minutes, stir halfway through heating (pictured here is the chicken version of the Swedish meatballs)
The cream sauce powder used in this picture, also available at IKEA Food Houses, requires a bit of processing when you buy it to make, as follows.
Bring 300ml of water to boil, add 28g (1 bag) of cream sauce powder + 50ml of cream and mix evenly for 3 minutes.
For the reduced fat version: 1. replace the meatballs with the chicken meatballs in the picture; 2. replace the cream with 50ml milk when making the sauce (I did). (It tastes good this way, too.)
