Easy Steamed Buns with Brown Sugar and Jujube Directions
Peel and wash the dates, remove the cores and cut them into cubes or use a vegetable peeler to break them into smaller pieces.
Put the brown sugar into a saucepan, add 200g of water and boil over high heat until the sugar is melted.
Add 4 grams of yeast to the dessert, stir well with chopsticks and let it rest for a while.
A friend gave me a bread machine, I’m going to let it do the kneading, haha. When the yeast is dissolved into the sugar water, pour the sugar water into the flour, turn the bread machine to mix mode, and mix for the first time (bread machine). The kneading mode is imax mode, and the kneading time is 20 minutes).
Knead the dough until about 10 minutes, then add 5 grams of corn oil (the purpose is to knead the dough to make it smoother, and the steamed buns will smell better and be smoother, it’s okay to leave it out)
When the kneading is finished, let the dough bread bucket wake up for 10 minutes to make the next step even better, it will be even easier to knead it later, don’t believe it! You try! (direct primary fermentation, saves time)
After 10 minutes of rising, place the date grains on the dough and knead them together evenly.
Take out the dough, press the dough with your hands to release the air, and knead the dough until you cut open the dough and can’t see any air holes (add some dry flour if it’s a bit soggy), then make a steamed bun.
Roll the dough into a long strip and roll it out into a rectangular shape, don’t roll it out too thin.
Roll it up from one end into a cylindrical shape, this is good to make a layered steamed bun, you can also skip this step if you don’t like it. Cut it into the size you want, line it with parchment paper, put it in the steamer basket, leave space between the buns, ferment it for about 25 minutes, and then put the dough in the steamer basket. The surface is smooth, so the fermentation is in place.
After the precast fermentation is good, cold water on the pot, open fire on steam and turn to medium heat to steam for 13 minutes (15 minutes in total) time to turn off the heat, and then stew for 3 minutes, after the heat is dissipated, and then open the lid to prevent the steamed buns suddenly shrink back from the cold, and then remove the small steamed buns, placed on a plate will be able to eat on the table.
Hot brown sugar jujube steamed buns out of the oven, full of fragrant jujube flavor, like a collection of friends to try another day.
1, when the weather is too cold, you can put the yeast in the warm water turned sugar water, placed in the flour after 5 minutes, you can speed up the fermentation rate!
2, steamed good steamed buns do not immediately take out, turn off the heat and put 3 minutes, then take out, to prevent the buns collapse, be sure to pay attention.
