French toast is super easy to make, you just need to mix an egg custard in 1 minute, moisten the toast and fry it.
But today I’m sharing a low-fat, light version of this recipe with Greek yogurt to freshen up the custard flavor and thick cut toast soaking. It takes longer, and the final fried toast is burnt on the outside and very moist on the inside A little bit of cinnamon brings out the flavour.
Finally, feel free to pair it with your favorite ingredients, nuts, fruit yogurt, etc., topped with honey syrup chocolate sauce, etc., and you’ve got a rich, nutritious breakfast!
The commuters just use the wash time to soak the toast and spend 5 minutes frying it at the end, incredibly quick…
How to make yogurt and cinnamon French toast.
Whisk together the eggs, yoghurt, milk, sugar and ground cinnamon in a large bowl.
Slice the toast into 2.5cm thick slices and dip into the custard, soaking for 10 minutes on each side to allow the toast to absorb the liquid.
Melt the butter in a pan over a low heat.
Add the soaked slices and cook for 1-2 minutes or until golden brown.
Turn over and continue frying for 1-2 minutes. The heat varies, so be flexible with the timing, and cook until golden brown.
After that, you can take out the yogurt to a plate, dredge a lump of thick Greek yogurt with some fruits and nuts, pour honey or syrup on it and start to enjoy.
Isn’t it super easy!
